Shrink Plastic Experiments

En yleensä tykkää muovista korumateriaalina, mutta kutistemuovi onkin ihan oma juttunsa. Se on tosi helppo ja hauska materiaali ja siitä saa tehtyä niin paljon kaikenlaista. Sen lisäksi tämän käyttämäni kutistemuovin toinen puoli on mattapintainen, joten se näyttää vielä kivemmalta kuin kiiltävä puoli. Nämä ekat kutistemuovikorut tein itselleni.


I don't usually like plastic as a material for jewellery but 'shrink plastic' is a case of its own. It's so easy and fun and the things you can do with it... Plus the other side of this particular shrink plastic is matt, so it looks even nicer than the shiny side. These first experiments I made for myself.

These rings are my first try, they are made out of old buttons and silver-plated metal. The other one has a pearl glued on it. I think that I will have to get myself a some hot-setting adhesive, so that they will stick perfectly. The size is adjustable.

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

"It was nice to have met you"

I bought a nice pair of earrings in Hoi An, as a souvenir for a friend of mine. They were nice, but later on I noticed that the other one was missing some of it´s findings. Result is:this bracelet is made from partly recycled materials, yay!

Materials are brass and shell.

Ostin Hoi Anista kivan korvisparin kaverille tuliaisiksi ja kivat ne olivatkin kunnes huomasin myöhemmin että toisesta uupuu osia. Tuloksena on että tähän rannekoruun päätyi muutamia kierrätettyjä osia!

Materiaalina siis messinkiä ja simpukkaa.
